Payment method

The card on file, how it's stored, and the auto-renewal settings associated with your subscription.

3 min readUpdated

Administration › Billing › Payment method shows the card used to pay for your plan. When a card is on file, it's displayed with its brand, last four digits, expiry date and cardholder name. If no card has been added yet, you'll see "No card on file".

The brand and last four digits are all OurOpero keeps.

Adding or changing the card#

  1. Choose Add payment method, or Change payment method if a card is already on file.
  2. You're taken to Stripe's hosted payment page, where you can enter your card details and billing information.
  3. Save the payment method and return to OurOpero, which confirms with "Payment method updated".
The card is entered on Stripe's page, not ours.

If you leave the Stripe page without saving, you'll return to OurOpero with "Card update cancelled, nothing changed", and your existing card remains unchanged.

The rest of the page#

The Payment method page also shows:

  • The next charge date, or "No further charges" and the end date when auto-renewal is turned off.
  • The Auto-renewal switch, which controls whether your subscription renews automatically. See Turning off auto-renewal.
  • An amber "Billing isn't linked to this workspace" panel with a Reconnect billing button if a card exists but there is no active billing subscription connected to the workspace.
