Arranging widgets

Add, move, resize, rename, duplicate, and remove widgets on a dashboard.

Adding One#

Select "Add widget" to open "Add a widget" with three options: Chart, Numbers, and Battery.

The new widget is placed in the first available slot at the top left, filling space beside existing widgets instead of always being placed underneath them.

Moving and Resizing#

  • Drag a widget by its header. The cursor changes to a grab hand. The controls on the right side of the header are not drag handles, so the gear, funnel, and ⋯ remain clickable.
  • Resize a widget from its corner. The grid is 24 columns wide. A widget can be 4 to 24 columns wide and 3 to 24 rows tall.

The layout is saved when you release the widget after dragging or resizing, not while you are moving it. If saving fails, the widget returns to its previous position or size and "Could not save layout" appears.

Renaming, Duplicating, and Deleting#

The ⋯ menu on a widget includes Rename, Duplicate, and Delete.

When renaming, the title becomes an input field. Press Enter to save the new name or Escape to cancel.

"Could not add widget" "Could not rename widget" "Could not duplicate widget" "Could not delete widget"
