The item panel's second tab collects every file attached to that item, add, preview and download them there.
Open an item and switch to the Files tab. It gathers everything attached to that item, including files you dropped into an update, and its count badge tracks the list as it changes.
Adding files#
- Choose Add file and pick one or several files from your computer.
- Or drag files onto the tab, the dropzone highlights as you drag over it.
A small panel tracks each upload from in-progress to complete, and tidies itself away a few seconds after the last one finishes.
Finding a file#
Switch between grid and list with the view toggle, your choice is remembered on that browser. "Search for files" filters by name, a refresh icon reloads the list, and a counter reads "Showing X out of Y file(s)". With no matches you'll see "No files found"; with nothing attached at all, "Drag & drop or add files here".
Previewing and downloading#
Choosing a file opens it in a preview window, PDFs, images and Word documents among them. Legacy .doc files can't be previewed and say so; download them instead. Every row and tile has its own Download button.
Anyone else with the item open sees new files appear without refreshing.
