Adding a column

How the add-column popover works, plus a one-line reference to all 25 column types.

Every board starts with one column, the item name, pinned to the left. Everything else you add yourself.

RatingA score from one to five stars.
ColorA single colour swatch.
TimelineA start and end date, drawn as a coloured bar.
ProgressA percentage, typed in or rolled up from status columns.
ButtonA clickable button whose text and colour you choose.
MirrorA read-only view of columns on a connected board.
Connect boardsLinks from this item to items on another board.
DurationA timer, plus the log of sessions behind it.
Last UpdatedWhen the item last changed and who changed it. Filled in for you.
HourA time of day on its own, with no date.
Auto NumberA running serial number derived from the row's position.

Adding one#

Choose the + at the right-hand end of the column headers, titled Add column. To place a column in the middle instead, open a column's ⋯ menu and choose Add column to right.

Pick a type from the grid. There's a Search types… box above it if you know the name.

Adjust the column name if you want to. It fills in with the type's label until you type something of your own.

Choose Add column, or press Enter. Escape closes the popover without creating anything, and Cancel does the same.
