Images, files and embeds

Adding pictures, attachments, and third-party media to a page, along with the upload limits that apply.

Adding Media#

Images render inline. Anything else sits as a file block you can download.

Image and File are available in the slash menu, while Image, Embed, Video, and Audio are available in the Insert (+) menu. The media buttons in the toolbar are split: select the button to open your file picker, or select the caret to open an insert-by-URL dialog.

Inserting an empty media block leaves a placeholder, such as "Add an image", "Add a file", "Add a video", or "Add an audio file", which you can select at any time to add content. You can also drag files directly from your computer onto the page.

Upload Limits#

Every upload is limited to 100 MB per file, and only the following file types are accepted:

  • Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX
  • Text: TXT, CSV, Markdown
  • Images: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, SVG
  • Media: MP4 video, MPEG audio, WAV audio
  • Archives: ZIP
