Type @ in any update, reply or document to notify a person, a team, the whole service, or your team leads.
Mentioning someone is how you make sure an update is actually read. Type @ and a picker opens; keep typing to filter it, and choose a result to insert a chip carrying that person's avatar and name.
The four groups#
The picker is grouped, and it isn't only people. In order, it offers:
| Group | What it mentions |
|---|---|
| People | One person, chosen by name. |
| Everyone on this team | A whole team at once. |
| Everyone on this service | Everyone using your OurOpero account. |
| Team leads | The leads of a team, without naming them individually. |
Typing filters all four groups at the same time, ignoring cases. With nothing matching you'll see "No results".
What a mention does#
Posting an update with a mention in it notifies whoever you named: the mention lands in their notification bell, and, unless they've turned that email off, it arrives by email too. The email is a faithful copy of the update as it appears in the app, formatting, mention chips and attachments included.
If the picker is empty#
The list of people and teams you can mention is scoped to the workspace the item belongs to. If the picker opens with nothing in it, the update is being written outside a workspace context, reopen the item from its board and try again.
