Select "Then do this" to open the action picker. It contains two groups: Item actions and Column actions. The Item actions group includes eight actions that work on the item as a whole rather than on an individual cell.
| Action | What You Set |
|---|---|
| Notify Someone | Recipients and a message. See "Notifications and Emails". |
| Send Email | Recipients, a subject, and a body. See "Notifications and Emails". |
| Move Item to Group | A group on the current board. |
| Move Item to Board | A target board and group, followed by a form for mapping the item's columns and subitems' columns to the destination. See "Cross-Board Automations". |
| Create Sub-item | A required name, plus any column values to fill in on the new subitem. |
| Create Item in Board | A target board and group, a name, and values for the new item's columns. Values can be entered manually or mapped from the trigger. See "Cross-Board Automations". |
| Archive Item | Nothing. The item is removed from the board. |
| Delete Item | Nothing. |
Using More Than One#
Select "Add action" to add another action below the last one. Actions run in the order they are listed.
You can combine actions from both groups in the same automation. For example, a recipe can change a status, notify someone, and then move the item, all from a single trigger.
"Create Sub-item" creates the new subitem under the triggering item on the same board. "Move Item to Board" and "Create Item in Board" are the two actions that work with another board.
