The Chart widget
Visualize values by category by choosing a dimension for the X axis, a measure for the Y axis, and a chart type.

A new chart shows "Configure this chart in settings" until you select what to plot. Select the gear icon in its header to open "Chart settings".
The Two Axes#
- X axis (group by), The dimension used to group values. You can select any board column or the additional "Board group" option, which groups items by the board group they belong to.
- Y axis (measure): The value being measured. "Count of items" is selected by default. You can also select a numeric column: Number, Progress, Rating, Hour, or Duration.
The Rest of the Settings#
| Setting | What It Does |

| Chart type | Selects which of the 16 available chart types to use. See the Chart type reference. |
| Date bucket | Available when the X axis is a date column: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year. |
| Stack by (optional) | Available for stacked chart types. Select a column to split each bar into segments. "None (single series)" disables stacking. |
| Calculation | Selects Sum, Average, Median, Min, or Max. This option is hidden when the measure is a count. |
| Sort by | Sorts by Value (high → low), Value (low → high), Label (A → Z), or Label (Z → A). |
| Show only top/bottom N | Limits the chart to the top or bottom values. Enable the toggle, choose Keep (Top or Bottom), and enter a Count. The minimum is 1 and the default is 10. |
| Cumulative total | Adds each bucket to the total of all preceding buckets. |
| Include empty values | Includes a bucket for items with no value in the selected column. |
