Creating a board

Three places to start a board from, and the two fields the create dialog asks for.

Boards are created inside a workspace, either at its root or inside one of its folders. There are three entry points, and they all offer the same options:

  • The Add button on the workspace overview, Add Folder, New Task Board, New File Board, Create Document.
  • The + button in the sidebar, above the workspace's item list, the same menu.
  • The + button on a folder row in the sidebar, the same board options, created inside that folder.

The create dialog#

  1. Choose New Task Board or New File Board. The dialog opens titled "New Task Board" or "New File Board" to match.
  2. Enter a "Board name", it's required, and the placeholder shows an example: "e.g. Project Tracker".
  3. Optionally fill in "Description (optional)". It accepts up to 1,000 characters and counts down as you type.
  4. Create the board.

When you start from a generic entry point rather than a specific one, the dialog is titled "Create board" and offers a board-type picker above the name field.
