Type "/" on an empty line to open the menu at the cursor. Keep typing to filter the available options, use the arrow keys to navigate, and press Enter to insert an item. If nothing matches your search, you'll see "No results".
What's in the Menu#
| Group | Entries |
|---|---|
| Media | Image · File |
| Basic Blocks | Text · Heading 1 · Heading 2 · Heading 3 · Bulleted list · Numbered list · To-do list · Toggle · Code Block · Table · Blockquote · Callout |
| Advanced Blocks | Table of contents · 3 columns · Equation · Excalidraw · Code Drawing |
| Inline | Date · Inline Equation |
Entries also match their aliases. For example, typing /ul finds Bulleted list, /toc finds Table of contents, and /mermaid finds Code Drawing.
What Isn't in It#
Five blocks are available only from the Insert (+) menu on the toolbar, not from the slash menu:
- Divider
- Embed
- Link
- Video
- Audio
The Other Two Triggers#
- "@" opens the mention picker, grouped as People, Everyone on this team, Everyone on this service, and Team leads.
- ":" opens an inline emoji search. The Emoji button in the toolbar opens the full emoji picker instead.
