Replying
Replies appear under the update they answer, and they go one level deep, never further.

Under each update is a box reading "Write a reply and mention others with @". Choose it, write your reply, and choose Reply. The button stays disabled until there's something to send, and Cancel backs out.
One level only#
Replies attach to the update itself. A reply has no reply button of its own, so a conversation cannot fork into a thread inside a thread. Everything under an update stays in one flat list in the order it was paste.
Replies support the same editor and the same @mentions as a top-level update, so you can pull someone new into an existing conversation without starting another one.
