The left sidebar
Your workspaces, the items inside the active one, and the Add menu plus how to collapse it.

From top to bottom, the sidebar holds:
- The OurOpero logo, which takes you home.
- A Workspaces heading with a + button to create one.
- The workspace switcher: the current workspace's name with a chevron.
- The item list for the active workspace, with a Search items… box and an Add (+) menu above it.
- Your user panel at the very bottom: your avatar, name, and menu.
The Add menu#
The + button next to the search box creates things inside the active workspace:
- Add Folder: may require a paid plan.
- New Task Board: the standard board with groups, items, and columns.
- New File Board: may require a paid plan.
- Create Document: creates it immediately and opens the editor.
Searching the list#
The Search items… box filters the top-level list by name. It doesn't look inside folders, so open a folder if what you want lives in one.
Collapsing the sidebar#
Collapse the sidebar to a narrow rail of icons using the toggle in the top bar, the thin strip on the sidebar's right edge, or ⌘B (Ctrl+B on Windows). Collapsing hides the item list, the Workspaces heading, and the search and Add row, the logo, workspace switcher, and your avatar stay.
Private and public items#
Boards and folders carry a small lock or unlock icon. Locked means only assigned members can open it; unlocked means everyone in the workspace can. Documents are always workspace-wide.
