The chime when something arrives, and pop-up banners outside the browser.

The chime#
A new notification plays a short, quiet chime. To silence it, open the bell and choose Mute sounds, the speaker icon in the panel header. Choose Unmute to turn it back on.
Desktop banners#
Banners appear on your screen even when OurOpero isn't the window you're looking at. They need two things: the Desktop notifications switch turned on in Profile → Notifications, and permission granted by your browser.
