Choosing a plan

The plan picker: how the tiers are shaped, and how to compare them properly.

4 min readUpdated

The plan picker is a full-screen dialog. Owners and admins can open it from Upgrade in the user menu, from Change plan on Administration › Billing, from the padlock on a feature that isn't included in your plan, or from the workspace lock screen.

Prices and features come from the billing system, so treat what is on screen as authoritative.

How the tiers are shaped#

  • A free tier for individuals, no card needed, with caps on boards, items and storage.
  • Paid tiers, priced per person per month, that lift those caps and add automations, dashboards, permissions and longer history. Each card's feature list is written as "Includes the tier below, plus:".
  • A custom tier for larger organisations, which doesn't have a public price, its button starts a conversation with sales instead of a checkout.

Reading the picker#

  • Pills at the top narrow the cards to all plans or just the higher tiers.
  • A Monthly / Annual switch changes every card at once, with the annual saving shown next to it. Each card also has its own toggle, so you can compare one plan yearly against another monthly.
  • Your current plan's card is badged and its button is disabled. A plan you used to be on is badged too, and its button offers to resubscribe.
  • Compare all plans & features expands a full matrix, essentials, collaboration, boards, security and support, and a short FAQ sits under it.

Pricing is one seat per person. Choosing a paid plan takes you to a hosted Stripe checkout page; when you come back, OurOpero confirms the change and tells you the subscription is active.
